About Ms. Stewart -

After thirty six years behind the lens of a camera Cheryl Stewart understands art when she sees it. Her photographic adventures have taken her to the European Alps, Pacific Northwest, Texas Hill Country, Hawaii, and New England. But her roots run deep when photographing her beloved Tennessee. This is a woman that trekked through the woods looking for the truck she remembered her daddy driving around in when she was a little girl. The resulting photograph, Old Truck, preserved a heartfelt memory of the ever changing culture and landscape of the Nashville area. The Old Nashville series preserves the fading images of favorite local hangouts. Keep Your Spurs Up is a quintessential country and western image preserving a man’s love for an old set of chaps. Charlie Daniel chose Cheryl to photograph his album cover “Deuces” currently in stores worldwide.

Cheryl’s portfolio of work includes: portraits, weddings, celebrations, business, commercial, music, published books, and fine art Giclee’s, meticulously hand brush-stroked photographs. Some of the images such as The Parthenon, and The Ryman can be seen at Fifth Third Bank on the corner of Murphy Rd and West End Ave. near downtown Nashville. Other works have been exhibited locally at The Harding Academy Art Show, Nashville’s Antiques and Garden Show, Christmas Village, and Tis the Season. The Beveled Edge, a local retail frame shop, sells the Old Nashville series. Lavender Limes located outside of Franklin, Tennessee, in the Henpeck Market Lofts, sells the fine art Giclee’s, as well as, blank note greeting cards, and matted prints of images depicting lavender farms.

Whether capturing the decisive moment in peoples’ lives, the splendors of nature, or preserving a memory, Cheryl finds the story in every photograph. She is excited for her first exhibition at The Belle Meade Plantation and honored to share her genuine passion for fine photography.
